Carrie Sawvel has been with Mallory since 1989 and is currently the CSR Team Lead for Seattle and Spokane. She lives in Seattle with her son and warms up her Pacific NW winters with dreams of warm Hawaii sunshine. Carrie took some time to share a little more about herself in this month’s Employee Spotlight Questionnaire.
What I like best about working for Mallory: I’m always learning something new which keeps the job interesting, I like that all employees have a voice for improvements and I like the family, yet professional culture we have.
Best job/Worst job: Training here at Mallory is the best part of my current job. My worst job was my first, a maid in a hotel.
Favorite place to live: Maui (someday)
Motto or Personal Mantra: I have two: “Fear doesn’t really exist” and “I can do it”
I’m happiest when: I’m playing with my granddaughter.
What I fear most: I’m working towards not going there.
I’m proudest of: My kids.
Favorite sports or pastimes: Golfing and reading.
The Top 3 Highlights of my Life: The birth of my kids, living in England for a year, and being at the birth of my first grandchild/being a grandmother.
If I could do it all over again, I would: Get a degree in sociology.
Favorite Memory: The warmth of the Hawaiian sun.
Favorite song, movie, book, or comedian: I’m going out of the box, favorite TV show, “Downton Abbey.”
Best Vacation: Las Vegas.
Before I die, I would like to: Win the lottery, move to Hawaii, travel the world and golf every day.
Goals for the coming year (work or personal or both): Improve my training skills and live without any fears.
