A New Year is a new beginning, but it is also the middle of winter. The days are still short, but they are getting longer and the weather makes many of us want to hibernate, not start a new diet and exercise plan or learn something new. Yet the New Year’s resolution is a strong tradition that encourages us to make changes and start fresh. I haven’t made a resolution in a few years – it seemed that since I never kept my resolution, why make one in the first place? After doing some research for this month’s article on New Year’s resolutions, “New Year, New Resolutions,” I have decided to give it another try. Now I just have to pick a resolution and it is best to make it specific and public if I want to give myself the best chance at keeping it, so I will be posting my resolution on the Mallory Minute Website and I hope you will, too. I am curious to learn what everyone is working on this year. You can find out what Barry Morris is working on this year in our Employee Spotlight and get an idea for a work related resolution in our Productivity article featuring Mallory’s PIT Crew.
Here’s to being healthy, safe and productive in 2014!
